HOSPITAL CAUSING HARM OR DEATH TO PATIENTS

November 11, 2017

Walker Law is suing Hill Crest Hospital in Birmingham, and it's owner UHS, America’s largest psychiatric hospital chain for the Wrongful Death of Ed Young.  The case was filed in Jefferson County Circuit Court, Case No. CV: 17:901873.

Please read this story about my clients and the death of their brother, Ed Young at Hill Crest Hospital. You must be vigilant when your loved ones are admitted to any medical facility, especially for mental health problems. If you or a loved one has suffered abuse, injury, or death at Hill Crest Hospital, we may be able to help.

Investigative Journalists, Rosalind Adams (click the link below for Ms. Adams full article), during her investigation discovered that the death of Ed Young was not even reported to the appropriate federal agencies:

[F}ederal surveyors never came to investigate Young’s death. They didn’t know about it. BuzzFeed News reviewed all reports of restraint-related deaths submitted by Alabama hospitals to CMS in 2015, the year Young died. There isn’t one about this incident. The federal agency confirmed the hospital did not report the death and that there was no investigation into the incident in 2015.
